 	He's always taken pride in acting like a jerk (See, for example, 
"Driving in the Spikes" in the ESSENTIAL ELLISON, then flip forward to 
"Xenogenesis" and marvel at his inability to generalize) and he doesn't 
have much experience with people saying no to him. It's not like this is 
an unusual event, except for it being on stage, and it's not like there 
isn't a subsection of male fandom who think that really, women are there 
for eyecandy and services (William Sanders, for example, appears to think 
the issue is that Ellison and Willis are old and not pretty).

It's not age and it's not demetia. It's an overdeveloped sense of 
entitlement.
