Pete: Maybe I have lived too chaste a life, but I don't understand.  WTH

are "regimentals"?

If this is a choice of underwear (as it seems), I would have asked 
"briefs, boxers, or trapdoor long johns?" (the last is for Camp 
Permafrost, of course).

Me:  I think in the US we call it "commando" or "going commando" ie no
drawers at all.
