Ordinarily I'd agree with you but in Neptune, who does that
leave? Weevil (he might reasonably be suspected of just about
everything else, but has limits) and people who wouldn't know
what to do with her. (I rather ship Weevil/Veronica at times,
though it's painfully obvious that canon is Logan/Veronica: dear
Jo Rowling, kindly take note--THAT'S what an anvil looks like,
biz*tch.)

The whole 'date a minor' thing doesn't mean as much to me as it
does to some people; I was dating people in their 20s in my teens
and don't honestly see given my available dating pool how I could
have done otherwise, either. It's very difficult for extremely
mature, attractive young women; the developmental gap between
boys and girls in the teens is hard enough on the ones who are of
average intelligence and experience. People like Veronica (and
me) are kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place; someone
whose biggest concerns in life are grades and sports and
dealing with normal parents (her relationship with her dad
seems so familiar to me, and yes, Slytherin IS genetic in
many cases, but I'm adopted) just doesn't cut it.
