Do note that audible.com and iTunes can have radically
different pricing--iTunes may be higher on one title and
lower on another.  Which is not to say that you can't sometimes
find a physical copy cheaper, of course.

The best deals at audible.com for regular audiobook
purchasers are the monthly subscriptions that get you
one or two book-credits a month (and almost all titles
cost 1 credit) for $14.95 or $22.95.  I got a subscription
and kept it until I'd purchased everything I was interested
in.  Now that they have new titles, it may be time to
subscribe for a few more months...
