Hi, me, the iPod idiot - again.

I've got a really funny .wmv file that I want to put on my iPod so I
can show it to people instead of having to email it all the time (1).

The instructions say to 'drag the video file to my iTunes Library'

Now, I'm not a total idiot (2) and I know how to drag and drop a file
in OSX - but when I try to do it in the iTunes window it doesn't go
into the library - it doesn't go anywhere at all in fact. You know - it
just sort of goes right back to where it came from instead of staying
where it's been dropped.

The instructions (p33 of the user guide) say it will convert it to be
able to be played on an iPod but if I can't get it into the library in
the first place I'm kinda stuck.

Does any really kind person know what I'm doing wrong? Do I have to try
and convert it to a different file format before it will go into the
library? And if so - what?

Cheers

Jacki in Canberra - I've got my collection of Weird Al Yankovic clips I
want to add too

(1) It's called 'Karaoke for the Deaf' and it's that song 'Torn' by
Natalie Imbruglia if anyone wants it - about 4.5Mb

(2) Although I'll happily be called a total idiot if it helps solve my
problem
