I've tasted Cynar.  It it truly the most revolting thing I've ever
tasted that someone claims to be edible.  A few years back, one of my
friends came across a bottle of it that became a standing joke and a
booby prize at our parties for a while.  I'm still not sure why no
one who took it home ever just poured it down the sink or
'accidentally' dropped the bottle.
