[The stout fellow wanders onto the stage, shaking his head doubtfully. 
A handful of the flying humanoids circle above him, emitting occasional 
buzzes and squeaks.]

I must admit, my friends, being at a loss as to how to best honor today's 
celebrant.

Adrienne Dillon is a singer and a music teacher; I contemplated a 
musical event, but my little friends [he nods upward]... well, let's just say 
that the ones you can actually hear are the *baritones*. Let us simply 
give Adrienne honor for being one of those who bring music and its joys 
to the world.

Adrienne also earns some income selling Avon products. There was 
some sentiment in favor of centering on those, but I put my foot down. 
Once is enough. [He waves at Marna.] Still, enabling the enhancement 
of beauty is not a thing to be sneezed at.

Again, Adrienne has taken up the task of caring for an Aged Parent, an 
obligation not to be made light of and certainly not appropriate fodder 
for japery, however affectionate.

[He shrugs.] Let us leave it at that, then: Adrienne is one of those who 
bring beauty and joy to the world, and who care for those in need. All 
the more reason, then, for us to wish that this her natal day bring her 
some of that beauty and joy, and perhaps a bit of pampering as well.
