EPT came out in the 1970s, but it had a pretty high error rate
and you were advised to consult a doc if the results were very
important, for instance you were planning on terminating and
didn't want to let it go too long or if there was a high-risk
wanted pregnancy in the brewing.

At least I'm pretty sure I remember seeing ads for it in Ms.
when I was 12, in 1976.
