Actually the Supreme Court clarified the issue under question
and once agian said that tax law is not necessarialy GAAP.

Although over the summer it amazed one of the other CPA
we know and ask each other if they know some obscure thing
and just cited Thor Power Tool as the case authority on the
issue in discussion without having to hunt for references.
