When he asked, I told my (male) GP that the reason I had my pap smear 
first thing in the morning was that nothing worse could happen to me 
all day!!

He said he'd try that argument on his wife who was reluctant at any 
time!!

PS - I'm not sure about the 5 or 6 years between thing, sounds too long 
to me. I get a reminder from the ACT Pap Smear Register every two 
years!
