I agree with that statement.  I just can't figure out what that
core personality IS.  I'm pretty sure it's not "endless
compassion" (there are Peter fans who seem to think he's a
bodhisattva) because people with endless compassion don't twitter
about their Destinies and have to be distracted from it so they
can be reminded that someone else is having a real-world crisis
right in front of them.  It's not endlessly compassionate to
say that you think you can fly in the middle of your brother's
campaign office or to talk about your grand heroic destiny while
your friend is trying to get help for her addicted boyfriend.

But whatevs, because Peter is about as different from Elli Quinn
as it is humanly possible to be.  He has an inner life that
threatens to blind him to the real world.

I pretty much agree with that statement.   I don't think she has
much of a spiritual life, or an emotional life beyond her work
and the occasional fun sex conquest.  Which in and of itself is
not wrong, but doesn't make her interesting to me.  It's her
apparent indifference to her trail of collateral damage that
bugs me most.
