This was about my take too.

It's interesting to me to see what bits or characters people don't like.
The only bujold book I've never reread much was _Spirit Ring_, because
I thought the protagonist was sort of averagely stupid (or smart) and I
appreciate the overall brightness of the characters, even if in the
vorkosiverse it tests my suspension of disbelief---I mean, Aral *and*
Cordelia *and* Miles *and* Ekaterin were all intensely bright, intensely
driven *and* intensely honorable as was Gregor...perhaps the historians
on the list could cite an analogous point in history with this
constellation?

And even for Spirit Ring I was sorry I couldn't find my copy/was too
busy to join in the list reread.

OT: also querying the list mind, if anyone would like to make
recommendations for someone stuck in bed who likes Bujold, Heyer, Moon
and Pratchett (i.e. romantic comedies and military sf with strong female
leads) I'd appreciate it, as the spouse has a cracked pelvis and a sore
neck (always, always *always* wear your helmet, kids...)
