That was the biggest problem; because the woman on the cover has a more
slender build, but I can't figure who else it might be. Those  half-dozen
men at attention and in red-and-blues suggest either Gregor or Miles, and it
certainly doesn't look like Miles (since he is much shorter than Ekaterin
who is brunette, not blonde). It could even be Ivan, but then who is his
partner and why do they look like they're in love with each other?  That
pretty much cuts out any of the Koudelka blondes...or anyone else, for that
matter.

I thought this might have been hashed out a couple of years back, which is
why I was sort of asking.

Yes, it was Alys talking to Miles, and she was rather unwillingly doing one
of Cordelia's snap Betan analyses.
