Now you're reminding me of the wizard in the fourth Harry Potter book who wore a nightgown for his Muggle clothes because he preferred to have air circulation. :)
I wore jeans for years, but something my pastor said made me switch to skirts "just to see." I now find them infinitely more comfortable in most situations, and I wear them year round (especially once I got some knee high boots so that my legs don't freeze in the winter, and I can wear white sport socks instead of stockings). My personal preference in skirts are A-line skirts around mid-calf length. There's enough room to allow me to sit on the floor fairly unrestricted, and it's fairly unusual that I get it caught on something. Then again, I've never had a job with a restrictive dress code. I'm not sure I'd be especially interested in a job where my appearance was drastically more important than my abilities. Presentable? I can handle. Full make up, stockings and heels? I think the number of times I've actually dressed that way could be counted on one hand (and DH is a software developer. He nearly mutinied when his former workplace required black jeans and shoes).
Sometimes I feel like I live in a completely different world from some of the list.
Suzette
