Yes, I am 41, and I can't write properly to save my life! :) It's
diabetes and the side effects of certain medications I take.

However, I have found another med that helps. It is Provigil, or
modanifil. Rather expensive unfortunately. Only approved in the US for
narcolepsy, obstructive sleep apnea, and shift work disorder. It is a
non-stimulant stimulant. The un-stimulant. (An atypical stimulant.)

It is used "off-label" for other things, among them, ADD/ADHD. There is
some possibility for abuse, so it is a controlled substance. I take it
for sleep apnea, but it has made a big difference in my concentration.
It doesn't generally raise heart rate, and blood pressure increases are
mild, compared with other stimulants.

It has a downside. It can trigger mania in bipolar disorder, panic
attacks in people with anxiety, and psychotic episodes in susceptible
people. Some mood altering meds may need to be adjusted when taking
Provigil.

The abusers include truck drivers, college students, athletes, and
stimulant addicts.

Passing along some knowledge. Maybe it will help someone.
