to speak up for hte shorty girls - my aunt and sister-in-law never made it
to five feet tall. they each deliberately chose to marry tall men - who
were also kind, generous, charming, yadda yadda yadda - in order to give
their children a fighting chance at height. my aunt's children are split
between really tall and really short. and most of her family pictures show
her seated, which sort of minimises the whole height difference. but its
weird to see them walking down the block together.

another aunt, who was 5' 6' at 16 and still growing, wore high heels and a
puffy hair style. she was lots taller than her husband. neither seemed to
mind. all her daughters (and sons) are tall, too.
