Hello, all!
I've been a bit quiet for a while, but that's because mostly I haven't
had anything interesting to add to the discussions. I'm following
everything, though!! :)
OK... since I moved out of my mom's place, I don't have a bookcase, so
I left most of my Bujold (paper copied in Bulgarian) with my mom, just
taking my two favourites, Memory and ACC. So that was all I could use
as a hook. But sci-fi/fantasy publishers here seen to be a bis slow,
since December, so my (Salvatore-and-Feist-and-Dan-Simmons-loving)
colleague was book-starved.
So I gave him Memory. He read it, and enjoyed it. Then I offered him
ACC on Friday, making clear there was a book in between. He took it,
looked at it, and noted that he suspected he wouldn't be able to
finish over the weekend (knowing his own reading speed).
He came in the office Monday morning with the book in hand.
He's been, since then, chafing at the fact that both publishers and
bookstores seem to have run out of Vorkosiverse books. And second-hand
book shops and stalls. And I can't give him another book atm (my mom's
away for a bit).
*grins*
Hooked 'im!
(Am waiting for my paper-copies in English to come... in the coming
weeks. He doesn't want to read on the computer, mainly because his
home PC is not eyes-friendly)
But YAY!
Greetings:
Kalina
P.S.. I think Royce's fic is in a fair way to hook at least one, maybe
two, of the Terinu fans who read it. Or want to read it, but will only
after they know the characters. :) All credit goes to him, of course!
