[LMB] Happy New Year too

2006, bar some losses, was a pretty good year, here in Minneapolis...

    I was just noting the other day (Dec. 27th) that I had started the 
first draft of _The Wide Green World, Vol. 1_ on Dec. 27th, 2005, and 
finished Chapter Two of its sequel on the same day this year, which is 
ahead of my usual 14 months schedule by a sufficient amount.  My goal 
was two chapters of the new (fourth in the series) book by the end of 
December, and I just made it.  Next chapter will take some more cooking. 

    At age 57, it's probably time to stop decorating one's domicile in 
the style known as Early Undergraduate; between the bath renovation 
earlier this year and the living areas one this fall, I have acquired 
some very pleasantly refurbished living space to stay home and write in, 
and I propose to do just that.  Mostly.

    And we just had 3" of snow this evening, so it looks right for the 
season out there at last.

    May we all have an excellent 2007!
