Me neither, not even a little bit. If you don't like pr0n, you
don't like pr0n; if you don't like fic, you don't like fic. My
problem is with people who single out slash/non-hetero material,
whatever their stated reason may be (hey, a lot of het fic
sexualises canonical friendship, too, but most of the people who
b*tch that slash writers don't respect friendship seem amazingly
unbothered by this fact.)

I must, however, point out, that for those who don't like pr0n,
but do like fic: there is, just as there is non-pornographic
hetfic, non-pornographic slash. It is still romantic material
and therefore on my mental continuum of erotica (that is, in my
mind, whether it's an 'evangelical-friendly Christian romance'
without a breath of premarital intimacy, even a close-mouthed
kiss, or hardcore gang-shagging pr0n, there is a continuum of
works that arouse sexual feeling of some sort), but it contains
no explicit sexual content.

I did not know this.

There are times when I'm annoyed by bad movie adaptations, comic
book adaptations, fanfiction &c, but it doesn't change the way I
feel about the originals unless it's a good enough and
thought-provoking enough piece to change my mind about what the
book is actually *saying*, which I'm willing to live with.

(These people should probably avoid my LJ. Not only do I write
fic, I write meta about stuff I like. I did have someone
complain to me once that I had totally ruined Harry Potter for
her inner six-year-old, because she couldn't like Dumbledore or
the Weasleys any more after reading my analyses of their
behaviour. But I don't think she is such a person, because she
writes fanfiction too?)
