that ran: (1) comfortable, (2) respectable, 
(3) knock their eyes out, & (4) expressive of 
one's inmost soul:

why I spend WAAAAY too much time and energy 
looking for clothes."

Aha. So you want NARNIAN clothes in this
vale of tears--!

Taking up sewing would do the trick nicely,
though the potential for an addictive money-sink
activity (think, say "Threads" magazine or some
of those big city fabric warehouses. They
make me drool and I'm *afraid* of my sewing
machine) is probably not something you need
to brave.
