[LMB] Battening down the hatches (sans happy dancing)

Probably because of last month's, er, experience, the St. Louis area 
media were full of dire warnings, but not much happened. The streets 
were slick and the trees ominously laden for a while, but much of that is 
gone already. The temperature is supposed to drop steadily today, 
accompanied by strong winds, but, well, it's a state holiday today, so I 
don't have to leave the house.

At least I have *one* thing to be pleased with today.
