Not sure of the song Ol Chisholm Trail, this is one of the In Country 
songs from Vietnam..although it probably is writen to that tune =)

It isnt really about *our* crop of Vorkosigans, it is about the 
*cough*reconnaisance in force*cough* by the Cetagandans about 80ish 
years before the Pretender, so pretty much any greek, french and russian 
names can be used, so Piotr, Ari and Ivan are pretty common, Kly was 
mentioned once and sa he was a hillman, the name would probably be 
fairly traditional. Being stuck at work I really couldnt sit and start 
reading my vorkosiverse collection on my treo when there was plenty of 
stuff I could theoretically do without my work computer=) I know that 
Miles came from Cordelias father, and would not really be apropriate for 
the period of the song. I was trying for something that could be sung to 
the grandchildren of the survivors and there was just something about 
the song that appealed to me very strongly.
