I didn't get the impression that any of them were amazingly beautiful.
Betriz and Ijada were pretty enough but primarily admired because of
their positions. Fawn is beautiful to Dag, and cute enough that
people see why he wants to sleep with her, but nobody but Dag thinks
she's very good looking. I never got any sense of anyone else being
struck by her beauty. Fawn herself would probably say she's moved out
of her ugly stage into passable.
Interesting what each of us picks up from the same text, eh? I'm
probably not very sensitive to this as it's not a hot-button of mine.
I know my mother thinks I'm beautiful, so I haven't worried about
anyone else (including me :-)).
I may have just missed references to CoC beauty, but I'm pretty sure
on Fawn. I think it will be pretty hard to find any book (not just a
romance) where the couple doesn't think each other is attractive. Or
where a woman doesn't look particularly nice on her marriage-for-love
day. (Betriz wasn't looking too good on her first wedding day.)
