[LMB] Mini-lois-Con (Marna was here!)

Hello all!

Marna and Ian stopped by for a couple days on their trip around the
isle(s).  It was the first time that I/we had met them in person, but
I think Marna and I agree that we weren't _actually_ meeting for the
first time.

Unfortunately, I was committed in advance to go out on a hen night, so
I didn't get to hang out with them the whole time and was fairly late
getting up the next sleep and incoherent.  And had to go do work (my
cells, they will soon be the death of me!) for a few hours in the
afternoon.  But, we did have a chance to chat all evening and overall
I think a good time was had by all!

Our discussion topics ranged though a lot of different areas and
included a bit of Bujold and speculation on what Lois actually thought
of a few contentious on-list repeaters.  Also a lot of chat on fanfic
and various TV shows/movies as well as Hadrian's wall and nature of
listies.

They left early this morning on their way to the Lake District and
will be visiting James Bryant a bit later on their trip, as he's
mentioned.

I told Marna that she had to email about this meet-up, but I thought
I'd attempt it because their internet access is limited.  (apparently,
the night I was off on the hen night consisted of Marna and Ian on our
his-and-hers laptops with wireless internet access with short breaks
to clean up after Sean's vomiting and to commiserate/comfort Tom and
Sean -- I think I might have had more fun...)
