I'm going to have to ask for some references for that, I'm coming up
completely blank. I looked in various online dictionaries and found
nothing of the sort.
The nearest I found was in the Wikipedia article on [[green]] where it
says that in 1960s US high school culture, it was believed that
wearing green on a Thursday was tantamount to coming out as gay; since
the equivalent act in modern times is alleged to proclaim that one is
"horny" I'm sceptical: it sounds about as believable as the various
toilet taboos one encounters in different schools.
There was a mention elsewhere that in the US during the 30s to the 50s
green was the "gay" colour like pink is now; the same source suggests
that pink was the equivalent colour in Nazi Germany, as opposed to
scarlet *and* violet in Ancient Rome...I'm still sceptical.
