I think what's likely, and what people (including myself) are
afraid of, is that the sore winners and the disgruntled ex-fans
will start arguing about What It All Means, with large helpings
of personal attacks thinly disguised as literary criticism (not
that I'd know anything at all about that!)
If the spoilers that are being posted all over LJ are not a hoax,
I think a lot of people (including some of the people who were
gloating last time over how they got what they wanted and others
didn't) will be very unhappy. If the spoilers that are being
posted all over LJ ARE a hoax, that's still very likely to be
true! Rowling is completely predictable, except when she's not.
And I don't want it on this list, because it will be very
difficult to stay away from when it comes into my Inbox, as
opposed to being somewhere I can just not go, and because it is
always a huge waste of my time to get involved. Arguing about
whether such-and-such character is good or evil in a series this
full of moral ambiguity is destined to End In Tears.
