For a political couple, that suffices to justify the use of "forced",
although I'll agree it's a bit strong.  There was not a prosecution.  She
could have chosen otherwise, but one can choose otherwise in the face of
prosecution - it is a weighing of the consequences.  Reality seemed to be
that her not using "Clinton" was a political liability.
