I suppose talking about evidence from Legacy here
would be bad form?

It's frustrating - I'd like to take part in the
text-based discussions but it's hard to discuss
Beguilement without information from Legacy bleeding
through in such a way as to colour my comments.

I see no flexibility at all. Total stasis.

Not a bad thing to be obsessed by. I meant to comment
on your previous message about his looks: please don't
come down hard on him for being beautiful. It isn't a
bad thing, even if you are embarrassed, as a proud and
loving mother, to be so aware of it. I know too many
people who have learned to be ashamed of their looks,
for one reason or another - often because they are
afraid of their own beauty, as if they are doing
something wrong. I think good looks should be
appreciated, just as all looks should be appreciated,
and that a fear of vanity can make a person
self-conscious in a way that is much more damaging to
the personality than the vanity itself.

This is not to say that he should be allowed to take
advantage of others, but that's a separate issue.

namaste,
Elizabeth
