This suggests a new idea for the readers among us: read books at the
library, then if you like it, buy 10 copies to give away. Better to
reward tenfold the authors we like than to reward the hacks and the
writers equally!
And it never hurts to give the local librarian a list of the great books
they should have on the shelf. In my town they like to hear from us.
