[LMB] Books per year

Two books a year sounds perfectly credible to me. I
know lots of people who don't read for pleasure, and
don't need to read for information - just looking
something up or reading a manual doesn't count.
So there are those who don't read at all. Maybe not so
much in our circles, because I'm sure we all seek out
other readers as friends, but they exist. And there
are those who might read if they could find the time,
but don't, and who have other ways of filling their
non-working, non-sleeping hours - amateur theatre, for
example, or sports.
I read far less than I used to because I'm writing
more. It's a trade-off.
So 2 books per year sounds right to me. All those
non-readers, offset by us, the book addicts.
namaste,
Elizabeth
