My 2 absolute favorite movie musicals are A funny thing happened and
1776 ,,, I will slot in the dvds if I am feeling under the weather and
want to watch some 'comfort tv' - neither one is particularly accurate
historically=)

Funny thing is parodying classical plays with the stock characters, and
does it in spades! It was actually filmed in lightly refurbished roman
locations, the costuming for the extras was actually fairly good ...
phenomenal!

1776 compresses the time scale to about 1 month, major oops is that
Caesar Rodney survived and was in the political scene of Delaware for
another 13 years, though they worked in actual dispatches from
Washington and letters from John and his wife. Great portrayal of our
founding fathers as earthy and sometimes bawdy people. Music is
fantastic as well.

My favorite reread of Herselfs books is ACC/Diplomatic Immunity/Memory.
I will fess up to having all of her Vorkosiverse except winterfair, all
the elizabeth moon Serranoverse and the Harringtonverse constantly
loaded in my Treo's chip. As a matter of fact, I think all 100 books are
from the webscriptions pages except for a couple of vorkosiverse books.
