if you have a big juicy semi-public secret -- nudists!  eek!  no wonder they 
have big huge dogs and don't like casual visitors!    --- then no one 
bothers to look for the big dangerous secret.

why do they let -all- the dogs out on the full moon?  obviously, so they can 
go skin-dipping or moon-bathing or whatever, without anyone coming to ogle. 
so obvious, no one needs  to look for other reasons.
