I took that to be a step in the direction of freedom. If that is what they 
wanted, and they can do it, no one else should decide for them. I don't 
remember anything that stated who was paying for the arrangement.  (I could 
get into all kinds of trouble here. I thinlk I'll stop.)

Does anyone else have the impression that there may have been medical 
advances between Shards and when Miles visits his troopers on Escobar?
