I went to a local art fair yesterday and stopped to look a photographer's
work. One picture was taken in New Orleans. It's a view of a little
courtyard, taken from the street end of a covered passage. There's greenery,
and a fountain against the wall. It made me think of the Vorthys' back
garden, that Ekaterin set up. Then I take a closer look at the top of the
wall, boggled and checked with the photographer. Yep.

Razor wire.

Coils and coils of shiny new razor wire.

The house is in the French Quarter, near Bourbon Street. Apparently, some of
the patrons of the nearer Bourbon St. bars can be a little too exuberant at
the end of the evening.

It made me wonder what meaures people took when living in some of the older
neighborhoods around the caravanserai.
Also, what kind of vines might Ekaterine grow through the wire to soften the
view of it a little,

Kevin
