Ebags has an application where you can put in your laptop make and
model and it will tell you what bags will fit it. You can also search
by feature.
Personally I have found that I do much better actually checking out
bags in person than ordering them on the Internet. The two bags I
bought on the net were not really usable for my specific purposes.
One had so much space devoted to laptop protection and its snazzy
retracting handle that it would barely hold two textbooks, let alone a
sweatshirt. One had "water bottle pockets" that wouldn't hold a
standard liter bottle, only a teeny one. And only in person can you
tell how it fits you.
There's a lot to be said for getting a light-protection bag and a
neoprene wrap or a sleeve for heavier duty protection. You should
probably also think about where you're going put your associated
electronics, chargers and cables.
Bags with a light, bright interior make it a lot easier to find your stuff.
Targus and Ogio users I know all seem pretty happy.
Let us know what you get!
Cally
