[LMB] (news) Blackstone note -- Memory, HH

I just received my copy of Memory from Blackstone audiobooks. (Imagine
jumping up and down for joy here and an immediate placement of the CD into
my MP3 player.)  I had placed my order for MP3 CDs of both Memory and HH on
Feb 9, so I don't know where that put me on the backorder list, but I've not
received HH yet.  I'm up to chapter 4 on Memory, so far.

Two immediately jarring things in the audiobook: both to do with
pronunciation.  First word: Dendarii.  Mr. Gardner (audiobook reader)
pronounces it with an 'i' as in 'sight' at the end: den-DARE-ee-ai.  Second
word: Galeni, which he pronounces as gah-LEN-ai (again with the long i at
the end.)  I only mention them because it was enough of a distraction that
it brought me out of the story.  In fact, I had to lookup LMB's
pronunciations on the Bujold Nexus to see herself's pronunciation.  

Otherwise, I'm enjoying the story and happy with my purchase.  Mr. Gardner
is no Michael Hansen or Carol Cowan (Reader's Chair readers of previous
Vorkosigan books), but I could get used to him, maybe, after 14 1/2 hours of
listening which is how long this audiobook promises to be.  

This is my first Vorkosigan book purchase from Blackstone (I have CoC and
PoS, with HH still on backorder) so I don't know if these pronunciations
have been brought up before.
