thats about right.  i've been following this thread, not much time to 
comment, but since the question was asked:   the concept of 'grace' doesn't 
give me conniptions, it gives me the doldrums.   anything with grace in the 
title (except about a dancer, likely) gives me the idea that the book will 
be pushing a religion in which i have no interest whatsoever, it will be a 
thinly disguised morality screed, and the very worst thing a book can do, 
the characters and plot will likely be boring as all get out.  (although, 
given this particular author, this last does not apply)

for reallife(tm) people who are trying to achieve grace, all honor to you. 
for fictional characters, not so much.
