[LMB] OT: another stupid CD question

Meg Justus' computer's CD drive is flaky, and she is thinking about 
using a portable CD player, for now, 'til she buys a new computer. 
James has explained [1] how it works regarding using the headphone 
output as a source for, and implied somewhat that a more satisfactory 
solution may cost some money.

To which I would like to add a request:  Please don't buy an actual Sony 
product right now.  They have had a bad couple of years in the "clue" 
department, and done some boneheaded things, like having a (real!) 
headless goat for a theme decoration at a press party.  Then there was 
the evil rootkit copy protection on the Sony/BMG CDs, and other 
shenanigans.  They need a corporate "time out".

If you need a CD player, Meg, *please* take Marna's!

Or try a Samsung product, instead.  They are kinda the Korean version of 
Sony, and cool right now, and not quite as boneheaded.

If you shop for a CD player, be sure and look for one with a line-out jack.
