No I don't know why it should pop into my head, its been almost two years since I last read Vor Game.

I don't know. Having a nice long chat with Gregor while waiting for ImpSec
to catch up with him would probably do nicely for getting off the island
as well, and with less hard labor of actually building the boat. *grin*
(Alas, Gregor is a married man, and I a monogamous woman. Besides, sand
is uncomfortable. On the other hand, he's probably an excellent
conversationalist anyway!)
