M:
When we moved into our house in Akron, it had been vacant for some months.
We were cleaning it in preparation for moving in, and found a very recently
dead mink in one of the basement window wells. Both of us felt so bad about
it--wondering if we'd have been able to save it if we'd just gone through the
basement first, and all the other futile regrets. We lived there for nearly
20 years, and never saw another. We saw raccoons and a fox, but no other
mink.
