I've seen one in Sharon, MA, south of Boston too.

Fishers are dangerous creatures. One jumped out of a tree onto my  
uncle when he was a teenager. Over a hundred stitches.

On the other hand, if you are a small predator, it is not the best  
idea to attack the youngest son of a large extended family, most of  
whom are experienced hunters.
