When I was in school, we didn't decide what to take, it was decided for 
us.  (Small school.)  I took typing.  There were a whole slew of us 
college-bounds that had apparently nothing better to do than type.  It 
was one of the most useful skills I ever learned, but if I had it to do 
over again, I'd have fought to take something else.
