That can be fun as a game when everyone's clear what's actually
going on, in an established relationship.  But not any other
time.

At the same time you can't wear your heart on your sleeve or it
will get trampled.  I've learnt through bitter experiences that
if you want sex to mean commitment you need to wait until there
actually is commitment to have sex, and that it's a bad idea to
admit to someone how deep your feelings for them run if you have
not taken the time to evaluate what their actions say about their
feelings, first.
