Oh, I could recite quite a litany, if I wanted, but... my heart's not in 
it.  I'm tired and sleepy.

Uh, well, in a nutshell, it's all about living up to expectations.  Men 
are expected to be manly.  Not necessarily an automatic gimme.  Just 
because one is male doesn't mean that one is ready to take on the world. 
  Think of macho and machismo, and so on.  Just as women are expected to 
behave a certain way, so are men.  There's more, but I'm not man enough 
to reveal all my weaknesses in front of everyone.
