Hmmm. The quiz told me The Inland North.
"You may think you speak "Standard English straight out of the
dictionary" but when you step away from the Great Lakes you get asked
annoying questions like "Are you from Wisconsin?" or "Are you from
Chicago?" Chances are you call carbonated drinks "pop."
As a matter of fact I was born in Connecticut, raised in Florida, and
have lived in Toronto for just under 40 of my 61 years. Toronto sorta
fits, with a group of accents from Cabbagetown to Rexdale that sound
like upstate New York crossed with Belfast and Naples, but what happened
to my nine years in Southern New England or the following 12 in Nawth
Flawda?
