It occurs to me, we have lots of Brits here... what is the image drawn
forth in your mind when someone uses the term, "lumber room"? It has
dawned on me lately that it may not indicate a chamber stacked
waist-high with pallets of two-by-fours, which is what the phrase
suggests to an American mind.

Hm.
I dipped into _Naked in Death_ -- well-written, futuristic
world-building acceptable, but way too dark for my current reading
mood. Has Nora Roberts written any titles that might be dubbed
comedies, or is that outside her tonal range?
It is slowly dawning on me that what draws me to the romance genre isn't
the romance, but the comedy (when intelligent), thin on the ground in
all genres. I have almost no taste or tolerance for unrelieved romantic
melodrama. In fact, it was the rare comic tale that first drew me to
SF, back when, though I stuck around for the drama, too.
Ta, L.
