I was one of several children, and believe you me, that didn't matter a
whit:  if we spouted unsupported malarkey, we were called on it
immediately.  This critical thinking skill-development (often at dinner
table) was one of the great legacies (er, pardon) my parents,
particularly my father, gave us.
