By would probably like both Sayers and Jeeves&Wooster, for the snark value 
(and might well memorise good lines for later use).

Alys would not admit to reading anything as plebian as mystery stories at 
all, but would secretly enjoy Jeeves&Wooster and country-house mysteries 
(and note all the things the authors got wrong).

Simon would like James Bond, in an 
OMG-how-does-he-get-*away*-with-that-shit?! sort of way.

And Miles (who you didn't mention, but I'm bringing up anyway) probably 
likes romance/mystery crossovers, especially Georgette Heyer's Regency 
romance/mysteries.
