No, he was not trolling. He was making a point in a fashion intended to be humorous AKA "teasing" 
when done between friends. (See Lois's comments on his actions if you doubt my interpretation.)

Trollling is deliberately posting inflammatory comments for the sole purpose of stirring up trouble. 
They are two *very* different things.
