Effecting a silliness of posting,
Full of April Fool's jokes,
Gulling the public a pastime
Hoaxes are rife on this day.
In all of its twenty four hours,
Just watch as the practical jokes,
Kittens with ball yarn are pikers,
Limited to their families to tease.
Many the jokes that get sprung,
Numbers that grow very large,
Out on the airwaves expected,
Pranksters' most daring exploits. 
Quite called-for and expected,
Rife should be pranks on this day,
Sidewise posts and diagonals,
Top posts and bottom at play.
Uncomfortable are the butts though,
Vainly will they find,
When at the end of the hours,
Xeroxes of hoaxes gone wild, that
Zeroed in on them.
